BY CHRIS DINSDALE

December 14, 2020 – The draw for the Last 32 in the UEFA Europa League features 2017 champions Manchester United — dropping into the tournament following a difficult UEFA Champions League campaign — against Real Socieded, and a heavyweight clash between Arsenal and Benfica. Other notable ties of the round include matches featuring Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and AC Milan facing LOSC Lille, Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade respectively. The matches begin on February 18.

The 2020-21 UEFA Europa League is the 50th season of Europe’s secondary club football tournament.

The season culminates with the final at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk in Poland on May 26, 2021.

The winners of the tournament automatically qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League group stage, and earn the right to play against the winners of the 2020-21 Champions League in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup.

Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national league and cup competitions.
